How does the Weight Watchers Point System work? ?

How does the Weight Watchers point system work? Don’t send me any links, I want someone who knows to explain it to me. Thanks.
I just read Mirella’s answer. Does she think I don’t know I need to move more and eat less. I just got off an effin treadmill that I spent an hour on. DUH! Did she also not see that I said NO LINKS! WTF is wrong with people? If anyone is a level 2 please vote her a thumbs down for her stupidity.

On the Weight Watchers point system you are given a daily “points” allowance based on your age, weight, and height. Each food is also assigned a point value based on its calories, fat, and dietary fiber. You can eat whatever you want as long as the total points of the foods you eat stay within your daily points allowance. For example, if my daily points allowance is 20, and I eat cereal for breakfast(4 points), have a salad with fat free dressing(0 points)and a cup of grapes(1 point) for lunch, I have eaten 5 points, and will still have 15 points left to eat dinner and have snacks/drinks throughout the day. If you’d like the formula for calculating your daily points and food points, just msg. me and I’ll send them to you. Hope this helps.
