How many calories does the Weight Watchers Diet use?

I’d like to try the weight watchers diet, but of course I’m a student and thus a little cheap. I don’t want to pay the $50+ to sign up or anything…

How many calories would a 5′6 140lb female need on the weight watchers to get to 115lbs?

And exercise?

I’m fairly muscular in the butt/legs etc where I think most of my weight goes. So.. how many calories and what’s an example of an average day?

Your help is APPRECIATED :)

as an ex-weight watcher, i can tell you that the program is not based on calories. it’s based on points, which are determined after you take a quiz. the quiz asks your age, height, weight and activity level during most of the day. you will then get your daily pts allotment. add to that your flex points (35 additional to spend as you wish during the week) plus ap’s (extra pts you get for working out). the core program is structured a bit differently.

if you decide to not do ww, you can track everything over at fitday.com for free. generally speaking, 1200-1500 calories a day should get you where you want to be without starvation. another good site is sparkpeople.com.
