Is weight watchers really worth the money?
I’m trying to lose weight for my holiday at the end of july. My goal is to lose 5 stone before hand, I’ve already lost a stone since January so I think this could be a quite reasonable goal. I’ve taken to eating healthy, and running 2 miles a day, and I’ve more recently started doing 100 sit ups a day – But I really want to do more… does weight watchers actually help? does anyone have any success stories?
money, really, Watchers, weight, worth
yessss lost 30 pounds of fat on weight watchers and gained 10 pounds of muscle. workssss greaaaaaaaaaaaaaattttttttttttt!!!!!!!
it is a great program. I lost 30 lbs after my pregnancies on it. It is easy to follow and you aren’t deprived of foods you enjoy. It’s important to attend the meetings and weight ins, if you start to skip those, you can fall off the wagon! When you’ve hit your goal, you need to keep up with it too, or you’ll gain the weight back.
I think you seem to be doing well by yourself. By going to weight watchers there will be other people there trying to lose weight too, which you could consider a challenge.. and also may give you encouragement.. I can’t see it doing you any harm.. it depends on whether you can afford the time or costs..
it’s been around for EONS so it MUST be doing something right!?
I started the WW program on Jan. 1st of this year. I was very skeptical that I would see any results because I was eating more than I was before I started. How could I lose any weight, right? Well, as of today’s date I am down 16 lbs!!! The program is very easy to follow & provides you with information vital for living a healthier lifestyle. I don’t go to any meetings, actually all I did was sign up for the website (there was a special – $45 for the first 3 months). The website provides you with the formula to find out how many points you are allotted, has an extensive recipe library, allows you to track your points & activities online, and more. My favorite part of the website is the Recipe Builder – you can enter a recipe of your own and the program will actually break it down for you and tell you how many points it is. It also offers you suggestions on where you might want to think about making adjustments to your favorite recipes (that you enter) to bring down the point value & make it more healthy at the same time. (Wow, I sound like a WW employee or something with the praise I am giving about this program, but I really am not.) So to answer your question, yes – weight watchers helps.
P.S. My entire family has been doing this with me since New Years. To date, as a family, we are down a total of 91 lbs. (It sounds like a lot but I come from a big family.)
