I am currently counting calories using a great computer program . Would Weight Watchers be better?

Would Weight Watchers be better since it incorporates fat content? Or does calorie counting work just as well for losing weight?
The program I use is CalorieKing for Mac. I also reenter the data for PeerTrainer.
Are the WW’s meetings really helpful?
