How can I determine my point limit for weight watchers without joining?

I am going to be starting the points system, and I am a little confused on it first of all. Do we select the range of the weight we are at now, or the weight we would like to be at? Any tips or comments would be helpful. Thanks.
I want to start weight watchers but don’t have the money to join. Does anyone know where to get an updated chart and a place to get the point values of certain foods? I also need to know how to figure out how to determine how many points I am allowed.
i want to be able to add up my points myself with out going to weight watchers i know its something to do with your weight and height. im 23 years old im 5ft 4 and 10st 12 thank you
For example if I have a recipe that is normally
330 calories
7g fat
2 g fiber
If I were to add a 1/2 teaspoon of fiber sure that would contribute 2.5 g of fiber to the recipe. Can I now consider the fiber count to be 4+ when I put it through weight watchers point calculator?

If you add them together on the calculator that you can buy from weight watchers, it says like 3 points. This is the same product now. Do you count those as 3 points or 2 points like the package says? My wife and I eat a lot of the same things, and [...]

I am in my second week of weight watchers. About 4 days this week I didnt meet my point goal. Will this cause me to stop losing weight?
I understand the points are now calculated differently by limiting the fiber grams in the calculation, but I’m also interesting in knowing if the program works for you. I have tried so many programs and other than Jenny Craig, nothing else has worked. I am now trying Weight Watchers.
